Balboa is one of the six countries on the continent of Griva. Twenty years ago, they fought a war with Rightia. Like the other five countries, after the conclusion of the most recent InVidia Games, they benefited from the InVidia Treaty which gave all countries a year of peace.
During the most recent InVidia Games, they interfered with Rightia's team by kidnapping Ina, poisoning Polly and the other original team members of the Rightian team, and injuring Felicia.
About 17 years ago, in the events of Death Wish - Part 3, Councillor Norwood managed to establish an uneasy peace by solving problems with Merchants. However, there WAS still unease which persists to the present day.
Balboa is one of the countries bordering Rightia. The Rightia-Balboa broder is the Darkly Forest and the Drowning river.

- According to the original Medieval Cop's file on Frake, Rightia and Balboa are on bad terms, but he did not worry about being invaded because he sent Balboa a fruit basket[1].
- Balboa is the only country to not have their own name in the InVidia team name. (Rocky Boas)
- The name Rocky Boas is a possible reference to Rocky Balboa, the title character of the Rocky film series.
- Balboa was one of the two countries who did not have a member of royalty shown at the InVidia Games. The other was Harmony.
